Dance Company entries placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in this year’s YLHS PTSA Reflections contest (“The world would be a better place if …”) dance category. Congratulations to Cheyenne Kotick, Kyra Stevens, and Mya Kough! Their three entries also advanced to the PYL Unified Council level (results to be announced this Saturday at the Council Reflections Gallery & Awards ceremony). Way to go, ladies!

Thursday, January 8th
Chapman University is coming to YLHS to teach a master class and perform works from their latest show. The show and master class are free of charge and will take place during 4th period and lunch (the girls will be excused from their 4th period classes).

Dance Company will be performing at CSUF. The show will take place at 6:00pm and girls need to be there in front of the gym by 4:45pm. Parking and entry is free so you are all invited to watch our girls perform along with the CSUF Dance team.

Calling all Mustang students! Auditions for the 2014-2015 Yorba Linda HS Dance Company will be held on Monday, June 2nd @ 6:00pm in the small gym at the high school. If you’re new to YLHS, click here for a map and address. We’re looking forward to seeing all of you there! Please note: there will also be a mandatory meeting for all 2014-2015 dance company members and parents on Monday, June 9th at 6:30pm (in the YLHS band/music room).
All YLHS students who plan to audition for Dance Company must fill out a modified clearance packet and have a completed physical (signed by the doctor) turned into the high school office in order to try-out. Returners are fine and can use the one from earlier this year. Please see this post for more information.

Remember that you will not be allowed to try-out until the completed packet is returned to Jacquelyn Roberts in the front office. DO NOT turn in your clearance packet or physical to Ms. Maes. Remember to turn in the original physical signed by the doctor. No copies can be accepted.

Physicals will also be held in the YLHS big gymnasium on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm (doors close at 7:00pm). The cost is $30.00. Please make checks payable to YLHS.
