Parent meeting handout and required forms

In case you missed Monday’s parent and new/returning member meeting, click here for Miss Maes’ welcome handout with information regarding dance company expectations, performances, start-up costs, communication and fundraising. Please send us an email if you have any questions.

To participate in Dance Company, all members are required to fill out proof-of-insurance and pre-participation physical forms. If you haven’t already filled them out and turned them in, both can be found here for your convenience.

To all dance company members – have a great summer and don’t forget to take dance classes. Go Mustangs!

Dance Company auditions May 29th

Calling all Mustang students! Auditions for the 2013-2014 Yorba Linda HS Dance Company will be held on Wednesday, May 29th @ 6:00pm in the small gymnasium at the high school. If you’re new to YLHS, click here for a map and address. We’re looking forward to seeing all of you there!

Spring news and updates

Hi, everyone! It’s springtime, and you know what that means – the YLHS Dance Show is coming! This year’s show will be on Thursday, May 2nd and Friday, May 3rd at 7:00pm, plus Saturday, May 4th at 3:00pm and 7:00pm in the Forum. Tickets will go on sale two (2) weeks prior to the show. The cost will be $8.00 per person in advance and $10.00 at the door. Tickets will be available for purchase from Ms. Maes.

Here are some other important reminders and dates to remember:

  • Dance show dress rehearsal is Wednesday, May 1st at 3:00pm in the Forum.
  • We will be selling dance t-shirts to advertise our show! You’ll be able to purchase them for $15.00 (both moms and dads can wear them). We’ll have a photo of the shirts soon.
  • It’s not too late, we’re still selling our car stickers and rhinestone t-shirts – please buy them! Contact Ms. Maes for details.
  • This year’s Dance Company banquet will be at Angelo & Vinci’s Ristorante (in Fullerton) on Tuesday, May 21st at 6:00pm – click here for a map and directions.  Please note this banquet is for Dance Company members only.
  • Tryouts for next year’s Dance Company will be held on Wednesday, May 29th from 6:00pm – 8:30pm in the high school’s small gym.

No zero period first day of school

Hi, girls!  Just wanted to let you know there is NO zero period on the first day of school (Tuesday, September 4th).  We’ll see you at zero period the following day (Wednesday, the 5th).  You won’t have to dress up for Wednesday’s zero period, but be sure to bring your payment for sweats – $240 for everything (including bag) or $175 (without bag).  Please make checks payable to YLHS Dance Company.  See you on Wednesday!

Summer update!

** Updated 8/29/12 **  We hope all of you are having a wonderful summer!  Here are just a few reminders as you enjoy your vacation and time away from school:

  • Practices – there are no practices scheduled over the summer break.
  • Sweats – $240 for everything (including bag) or $175 (without bag).  Payment is due at zero period on the second day of school (Wednesday, September 5th). Please make checks payable to YLHS Dance Company.
