Dance Company Auditions 2026-2027
Hello and welcome to tryouts for Dance Company 2026-2027 team.
Tuesday May 12th 4-7pm In the small gym. Dancers will do across the floor jazz technique, then learn a group routine and perform it for judges, perform improv for both jazz and hip hop styles and then by the end of our tryout you will know if you made the team or not. I do a cut after each round. Each dancer will receive a number to place on their clothes as they walk in the door. Please bring jazz shoes or half souls and tennis shoes for both sections of the tryout. Dancers must wear all black comfortable dance clothes.
You must turn in a tryout packet printed out as a hard copy to me or to the front office no later than Friday May 8th. No packet no tryout
All dancers must be cleared through Home Campus (the new system we are using) by the front office with an updated physical in order to tryout. You cannot tryout if you are not cleared. Allow yourself plenty of time to get this done. Here is the link for all the info to be cleared through Home Campus https://www.homecampus.com/
Across the floor technique we will do:
a).Triple pirouette or as many clean pirouettes you can do
b).Chasse step leap on the right
c).Chasse step leap on the left
d).Chasse step center leap
e).High chaine low chaine calypso
f). High chaine low chaine C jump
g). Pas de bourre pirouette (as many as you can do clean)
h).6 steps pirouette in a la second 3 bring it in on 4 triple out of it
i).Plie kick front right leg walk walk, plie kick left leg walk walk plie leg hold on the right, plie prep leg hold turn to the front

- A recent photo of you ( please no filters like dog ears, hearts ect) page 1
- List your dance experience and studio you are currently at and classes you are taking page 2
- First and last name, grade you will be in next year, email, your phone number, parents name and email we can use to contact them page 3
