Dance Company entries placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in this year’s YLHS PTSA Reflections contest (“The world would be a better place if …”) dance category. Congratulations to Cheyenne Kotick, Kyra Stevens, and Mya Kough! Their three entries also advanced to the PYL Unified Council level (results to be announced this Saturday at the Council Reflections Gallery & Awards ceremony). Way to go, ladies!
Congratulations are in order for our very own Cheyenne Kotick, crowned Miss Yorba Linda 2015! In addition to the title of Miss YL, Cheyenne is also the proud recipient of a $4,000 scholarship award!
The purpose of the Miss Placentia/Miss Yorba Linda scholarship program is to help young women achieve their educational, personal and professional goals. From the entire YL Dance Company – congratulations, Cheyenne!
Friday, February 13th is our first Festival! The show is called “And We Danced.” We are celebrating the LOVE of dance from all over the dance community. Several studios and high schools have been invited to perform – this year we will have Brea Olinda High School, Buena Park High School, Villa Park High School, The Dance Spot and Yorba Linda Middle School as our guest artists. There are 17 numbers in the show with YLHS Dance Company performing 3 dances chosen from our Fall show.
