Dance Company Tryouts May 22nd-23rd 4-7pm in the small gym

Tryouts will be 2 days this year and consist of the following:

Tryouts packet that must be turned in as you walk into tryouts ( no packet no tryout)

Technique across the floor and learning a dance that consist of jazz, contemporary and hip hop

  • All the info is online under tryout tab and an example packet is available
  • The packet includes, photo, basic information cover page, 2 letters of rec, grade report, clearance packet completion form, schedule conflict form

Solo if you get a call back for Tuesday May 23rd that is 1 minute to a minute and a half any genre but tap

Mini interviews ( this will be right after your solo)

Dress attire- Anything comfortable. Bring jazz and tennis shoes for hip hop

Trouts will consists of

  • Across the floor technique- monday
  • learn large group routine. Dancers will go home and practice over night on their own- monday
  • Cuts after Monday
  • Callbacks will be posted online for Tuesday’s tryouts
  • Tuesday we start with solo’s and mini interviews
  • Then back to large group dance
  • Finals cuts
  • Tryout packet required!
  • Within the tryout packet dancers must fill out an athletic clearance forms. Here is the link to access that form. We don’t take the bus so parents must fill out a DMV Risk management form
